757 Create is a community-based art collective driven by our mission to serve artists in the 757 area. What started as an impromptu group chat with the simple goal of fostering connections between local creatives has since grown into a group of over 200 members in all 7 cities. 757 Create has installed a number of shows at different venues, beginning with the “Traces|Residuals|Ghosts” show in 2023. Most recently, we received a grant from the Downtown Norfolk Council to participate in the NEON Festival, where we showcased 60 artists’ work for our Blackout show at Zeke’s (Norfolk), and created an immersive installation titled Lunatique, which received a large number of visitors. We also hosted our first market this December, Yuletide Yeti, in collaboration with Vessel Craft Coffee in Norfolk.

757 Create’s goal is to provide local artists the chance to collaborate and support each others’ growth, with opportunities to participate in art shows, installation experiences, workshops, and more. Our highest priority is to cultivate a sense of belonging within the local artistic community, emphasizing inclusivity for those of all backgrounds. We hope to host many more events in the future, and to continue working with local businesses and artists to grow our community!
